This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Town of Oakville (the “Town”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Sale of Property for Residential Development, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The Town is offering for sale the lands legally described as Parts 3, 8 and 9 on Plan 20R-21190 (the “Property”). The Property is approximately 2.0 hectares in size and is part of the former Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Site, (the “OTMH Site”) located at 327 Reynolds Street and 348 MacDonald Road, in Oakville, Ontario. The former OTMH Site, now owned by the Town, is situated within an established residential area northeast of downtown Oakville and southeast of the Oakville GO station. Refer to Annex C for a location map. Council, at its meeting of June 21, 2017, approved a master plan for the redevelopment of the former OTMH Site (Annex D). Town Council directed staff to issue this RFP for the sale of the Property and the Town is excited to see this area developed. Town Council approved a draft plan of subdivision (the “Draft Plan”) for the Property at its meeting of July 9, 2018. The whole of the Property must be developed and used as a nineteen (19) lot single-family detached residential development with sixteen (16) town house units according to the Draft Plan and all applicable laws, including, without limitation, environmental laws and regulations. Amendments to the Draft Plan, Official Plan or zoning by-law shall not be permitted. |
