The Corporation of the Town of Oakville (the town or the Owner) invites tenders for construction services described as:
Full depth asphalt removal and grading, asphalt milling and hot mix asphalt paving. Work includes localized repairs to existing concrete curb, sidewalks and line painting with a focus on the resurfacing of residential roads North of the QEW. Approximate estimated major quantities:
Resurfacing of 15 Roadways:
Full Depth Asphalt Removal – 28,000 m2
Asphalt Milling 90mm – 29,200 m2
Base Course Asphalt – 8,500 tonnes
Surface Course Asphalt – 6,500 tonnes
Concrete Curb Repairs – 2,500 m
Concrete Sidewalk Repairs – 1,800 m2

SPECIAL NOTE TO BIDDERS

In addition to the Reserved Privileges of the Owner as set out in this Request for Tenders, the following exception will apply:

The successful bidder for tender RFT-34-2023, which closes on May 3, 2023, and any entity that is affiliated as defined by the Securities Act (Ontario) with the successful bidder, will not be permitted to bid on this tender RFT-35-2023.  For further clarity, no one Bidder will be awarded both RFT-34-2023 and RFT-35-2023.

To make efficient use of Town resources and to ensure that all work required in 2023 will be completed in a timely manner the Town requires the efforts of 2 separate contractors working independently in segregated zones.
