* Electronic Submissions Only * The Town of Oakville (the town) invites proposals for consulting services described as: The Town of Oakville is seeking to retain a qualified consultant to provide professional engineering services for implementing shoreline protection at Holyrood Promenade and Shorewood Promenade. Holyrood Road Allowance (RA) and Promenade: Current shoreline protection consists of an armourstone wall stone groyne. Stones are fractured and have been displaced due to high lake level conditions with notable washouts and loss of stone material. Shorewood Promenade: There is no current shoreline protection in place, and the bluff located at this site is being undercut and degraded by erosion as a result of the high lake conditions. The work will include inspecting the site to confirm current conditions, consideration for water access, as well as developing the design for the shoreline improvements. The engineering services will include the advancement of the detailed design, permitting requirements, public consultation, tender preparation, and construction inspection. |
