The supply of all labour, equipment and materials necessary for the Oakville Museum Coach House Restoration. The Coach House is a unique Arts and Crafts building comprised of the Gardener’s Residence on the east side and the Carriage House (stables and garage). Both parts will be renovated to accommodate uses in a multi-purpose capability such as museum exhibits, children’s programs, outdoor performances, or artist-in-residence programming.

Accessibility is an important component to the project which is reflected in improved access to the building, new pathways and surface, and addition of BF amenities in the kitchenette and washroom to meet the Town OUDS.

Renovation of the building will require restoration of the heritage attributes including, but not limited to woodwork, trims, wood stairway, stall rails, windows, doors, parts of the roof, elevations etc.  A new front porch and entrance door will be updated to make the building accessible. The Carriage House garage will have a new glass folding door to allow the open area to expand outdoors.

Renovation work will also incorporate new indoor amenities including washrooms, kitchenette and program support spaces. The scope also adds new power and data, new light fixtures and HVAC system.

The project also includes new landscaping plantings, patio pavers, benches and pathways on an archaeological site.
