* Electronic Submissions Only * The Town of Oakville (the town) invites tenders for services described as: The Town of Oakville requires contractor(s) to supplement roadway-plowing operations during the winter months. The work entails the continuous availability and supply on demand of up to twenty-four (24) roadway-plowing tractors complete with reversible Front Plows and two (2) qualified operators per unit, during the specified winter control seasons. A combination of contractors, each supplying portions of this requirement or a single contractor may be considered (reference Item 1.14 Award Process for details). The agreement(s) shall be for ten (10) years with the initial seven (7) years fixed, and the remaining three (3) years being at the sole option in favor of the town annually. Note: It is a mandatory requirement of this Tender that no more than 75% of the work (including equipment) be subcontracted. The successful bidder shall perform a minimum of 25% of this contract with their own forces, including equipment Note: A 10% Bid Bond and Agreement to Bond for a 50% Multi-Year/Renewable Labor & Materials Bond and a 50% Multi-Year/Renewable Performance Bond are requirements of this Tender. |
