The Town of Oakville (the town) invites proposals for services described as:

The town actively pursues opportunities to reduce the cost of its services to taxpayers while maintaining a high level of service quality.

The Town is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to conduct an audit of its operations that will:

  • Ensure all valid input tax credits and rebates have been accurately identified,
  • Ensure the correct net value of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Provincial Sales Tax (PST) has been reclaimed or paid over and supported by the relevant return,
  • Identify the amount, if any, of outstanding tax credits/rebates available for recovery, and
  • Identify areas of potential tax liability and exposure
