| Description: |
* Electronic Submissions Only * The Town of Oakville invites proposals for the provision of a Cemetery Master Plan. The Town is responsible for ownership, operation, and perpetual care of eight municipal cemeteries under Ontario’s Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002. The Town’s active cemeteries, Trafalgar Lawn and St. Jude’s, are nearing capacity. Internal current state work identifies that no full lots are available and that cremation options are limited. Oakville now requires a comprehensive Cemetery Master Plan, with a primary focus on Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, to support informed decision-making by Council and staff. The Plan should also include a high-level review of the Town’s other cemeteries to identify any potential opportunities for future interments. |
