Requesting pre-qualifications from contractors. Over the past several years, the Town has had inspections of all bridge and stair structures conducted in order to determine any required works.  The structures included in this current project were identified as requiring replacement, mostly because they did not meet current Town standards or were at the end of their design life.  Trail improvements in general were identified as requiring attention as well to
increase the overall appeal of the site locations, all located within public parks.
