The general scope of work for this project includes the widening and reconstruction of approximately 1.2 km length of Cornwall Road from Chartwell Road to Morrison Road.  The widening will occur to the North
of the existing roadway and will include the construction of two additional lanes which will serve as the future westbound travel lanes, as well as a landscaped centre median. Construction of pedestrian facilities includes sidewalk, transit pads, and a multi-use asphalt pathway.

Work also includes the replacement of two CSP culvert crossings which convey flows from Upper Wedgewood Creek through the project area, installation of storm sewers, stormceptors, stormwater storage facilities, and a watermain lowering at Morrison Road.

The existing signals at both Chartwell Road and Morrison Road will be removed and replaced to match the new proposed roadway, and the existing streetlighting will be upgraded to LED lighting including new pole bases, conduit, and wiring.
