Awarded Summary
The existing fuel dispensers at Bronte Outer Harbour (BOH) are at the end of their life cycle and with each year, it is becoming more difficult to source out replacements components. Furthermore, there are a number of safety systems and devices that are required as part of the Liquid Fuels Handling Code (2017) that would be required to be installed on the current system and increase the level of safety for our staff working in the area.
At the close of the bid period, four (4) bids were received as follows:
1. Modern Niagara Building Services - $209,968.00
2. Claybar Contracting - $226,900.00
3. Comco Canada - 238,307.00
4. Kenstruct Ltd. - $253,152.00
Along with submitting their pricing, references and other information, vendors were required to submit TSSA (O.Reg 217.01) Liquid Fuels Certification. The low bid Modern Niagara submitted TSSA Certification for a Heating Fuel Contractor (O.Reg 213.01) which is not the same as requested. As such Claybar Contracting, the second lowest bidder was awarded.
